California Bill's Automotive Handbooks
“California Bill Fisher” began his publishing career in
1949, and throughout his life cars remained his passion. Since his death
in 1999, his son Howard has continued to operate the family publishing
business. We still publish the classic California Bill’s books
from the ’50s, which give us a window into that era which continues
to be enjoyed by auto buffs.
In the ’90s, we expanded our line to include books on auto upholstery,
Nissan & Datsun engine rebuilding and modification. We also have
nostalgic books showing pictures of the great Fords of the ’50s
and ’60s in color, written by Michael Parris, whose personal
knowledge and friendship with those at Ford bring little known facts
and stories to the reader.
Our books are clearly written by experienced
“hands on” authors. Instructional photos throughout help guide
the auto enthusiast through every step of the project.
